It can be hard to pin down a ‘type’ of photography when asked ‘what do you photograph?’. I photograph whatever interests me, but I think this mostly falls under one big umbrella of ‘documentary photography’ as I’m often photographing landscapes, urban scenes, and sites of former industry.

The gallery below is a selection of some of my images over the years, the best place to find newest ones is on the various social media channels, or in the specific galleries that I add to from time to time.

  • Gdansk Florist Marie Gardiner
  • Tarsan Dam Marie Gardiner

I’m working on a long-form documentary photography project called Changing Landscapes, where I’ve been documenting the ruins of the North Pennines and the changes in the landscape (no surprises there from the title…) since around 2018.

In April 2024 I produced my first zine, Transporter, which has been a great success, flying off to far parts of England, Scotland, and Wales, and surprising and delighting me by also selling as far as the US and Canada. I’m very appreciative of all the support. It was also featured in The Northern Echo – many thanks to Chris Lloyd for including it in his column.

April 2024 seemed to be a month of zines as I was also featured among a wonderful collection of photographic works by a variety of photographers, as part of Workhorse Collective’s Werkhaus zine (#5) titled ‘Now. And Again.’

You can buy a copy of it for £7 from Workhorse’s Big Cartel shop.
